Our Values

Respect
We believe that all people deserve to be treated with respect. Behaving with humility is essential in working with populations that have been traditionally overlooked and exploited.

Integrity
We hold ourselves accountable to the highest standard of ethics, recognizing that vulnerable populations are at the greatest risk of exploitation. We will be forthright, honest, and clear as to the resources and assistance we are able to provide.

Dignity
Dignity is not measured by socio-economic class or social standing, but rather by the wealth of the spirit. We seek to support the dignity of others by providing tools whereby people may forge their own path out of poverty.

Impact
We do this work to create tangible change in the world. To achieve the greatest impact, our methods remain flexible and our minds open to finding new solutions and partnerships that will lead to the greatest good for the largest number of people.

Passion
It is passion that drives us to bring an end to global poverty. Society as a whole is stronger when people are able to recognize their potential and contribute to the health of their community. As a global community, we all benefit from the eradication of hunger, disease and human suffering. We seek to create a more humane and just world.

Challenging
We challenge ourselves to discover innovative solutions to eradicate poverty. We challenge ourselves to consider the road less traveled, whether that road be geographically, culturally or politically challenging to undertake. We continually question our own preconceptions of how to do the work and we call on other organizations and individuals to take part in the process to raise fellow humans from poverty.

Learning
We are a learning organization. We are constantly exploring new and creative means of affording people opportunities to rise out of poverty. It is essential both to share our findings and to constantly learn from the work of others. Our understanding is continually evolving and our methodologies will change. However, we will remain loyal to our goal of eradicating poverty.

Relationships
Poverty is a global epidemic and we are but one small actor. Over one billion people in the world live on less than one dollar a day and, try as we might, we cannot touch the lives of all these individuals. We are committed to building relationships with micro-lending organizations and with communities, government, private sector companies and individuals in order to advance the cause of poverty elimination.
