Hawaii Food Systems Financing Partnership – Partners: Feed the Hunger Fund, Hawaii Investment Ready, Hawaii Good Food Alliance, and Hawaii Department of Agriculture
“This grant exemplifies the power of collaboration,” said Keoni Lee, CEO of Hawaiʻi Investment Ready. “Instead of competing for resources, we can combine our strengths to better support Hawaii’s food system. The HFFI Food Systems Financing Plan will map out where to invest strategically, encouraging more capital to participate and catalyze positive change for the entire system. Keoni Lee, CEO of Hawaii Investment Ready
“We need to make sure cultural values, mālama ʻāina is integral to work that we do. In my recent travel to the Caribbean and connected with black diaspora. Common parallels to Hawaiian diaspora; important to preserve values, place, culture here and in the next 5 years. Food as medicine, through internships, farmers markets… with intentional staffing and growth. With RFBC – bringing people together, cross connections, doing more work to create healthier food system“. Ka’uilani Odom, Executive Director of Hawaii Good Food Alliance
